Alberta Insurance Council (AIC) is the financial and administrative arm of the Insurance Adjusters’ Council, General Insurance Council and Life Insurance Council, which are the regulatory bodies responsible for licensing and discipline of insurance agents, brokers and adjusters in the Province of Alberta. AIC manages issues, concerns and complaints regarding insurance agents or licensed independent insurance adjusters. It NO longer manages concerns or complaints regarding insurance companies. As of April 1, 2011 those are dealt with by the ASOI.
