Former Penticton fire chief sues city over wrongful dismissal

Long-time Penticton fire chief Wayne Williams is suing the city for wrongful dismissal while he was allegedly off work and suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

According to a lawsuit filed Tuesday in B.C. Supreme Court in Penticton, Williams, 56, was fired by the City of Penticton on Feb. 22, 2016, “without cause and without reasonable notice or pay in lieu of notice.”
